Why use CO2 scrubber
PH Increase
Reducing CO2 injection into the skimmer raises PH and keeps it high all night with no dips.
Increased coral growth
With stable PH you can expect 3-10 times more coral growth.
Colour Changing
Easy to know when the media is exausted, as the media changes to purple.
Less Algae Growth
Without CO2 algae is not able to photosynthesise helping with all algae including hair and cyano.
CO2 SCRUBBER MEDIA
Stabble PH, Happy Corals, Less Algae
Watch the media get exhausted as it turns purple, letting you replace it before it runs out.

In our scrubber system, we employ a meticulous process for the controlled extraction of CO2 before it reaches your protein skimmer. This strategic approach serves the dual purpose of effectively reducing CO2 levels within your tank while also contributing to the elevation of pH levels. CO2, originating from human and pet respiration among other sources, can gradually accumulate within the aquatic environment, potentially exerting adverse effects on pH balance. By intercepting and managing CO2 levels before they reach critical points, we help maintain a more stable pH environment conducive to the thriving growth of corals. Notably, a pH level of 8.3 is recognized as optimal for coral growth, facilitating their development and vitality within your aquarium ecosystem.

What the BRS boys say?

These photos showcase CO2 scrubbers in action. Some are recirculating CO2 scrubbers, which take already scrubbed air from the top of the skimmer and channel it back into the skimmer pump. This process helps to use less media over time.

“I bought this to try as I could not keep my PH above 7.8 at first I drilled small holes in the bottom of a 2lt drink bottle and filled it with media. Siliconed some air tube through the cap and connected it to my skimmer within 2 weeks I could see the difference pH was 8.1 and stayed high even during the evening when lights went off keeping corals a lot happier. I have bought myself a proper scrubber to connect to my skimmer great product works well”
