NitratePhos is a unique blend of a number of different carbon molecules and other elements that control the biological reduction of algae growers (nitrate and phosphate) by naturally occurring bacteria that exist in all aquariums. The blend super feeds and gives the bacteria the correct environment to thrive in your marine aquarium, making them multiply rapidly.
Thanks to the blend of NitratePhos all biochemical changes occur with no issues and the bacteria easily absorb nitrate and phosphate converting them into biomass. That biomass becomes a valuable food for corals while the waste is removed from water by your filter or protein skimmer.
When this happens overall condition of corals, provides better colouration and promotes growth. Due to maintaining the biological balance in the tank. This in turn prevents the growth of green algae and the development of cyanobacteria.

Dosage
This dosage guide is a suggested dosage guide unless we know what you current levels of nitrate and phosphate is and the amount of coral stock you have.
The basis to this guide is to start very slowly increasing amounts fortnightly to allow nitrate removing bacteria to build and grow in the aquarium before jumping to a bigger amount of bacteria.
Always do nitrate and phosphate tests before increasing to the next higher dosage.
Once either your phosphate or nitrate reach lower numbers on tests stop increasing and stay at the same amount for 3-4 weeks of daily dose, after this time if nitrate and phosphate are still at the same you have now calculated you daily dose to carry on.
Remember you need some phosphate and nitrate in your system and the ideal figure your looking to achieve is NO3 0.5-1 ppm and PO4 0.03ppm
Although better figures to aim for is 1-5ppm nitrate and as low as 0 phosphate.
After week 8 add 2ml every week until you see nitrate and phosphate start to drop. Stay at that amount until nitrate gets to 1ppm on tests and then reduce and increase a little (1-2ml) to keep it there every week until you find the correct daily dosage
REMEMBER : keep testing you don’t want your tank to crash with zero nitrate this will kill fish and corals.
This bacteria need phosphate in the water to grow so having zero phosphate will slow the nitrate removal.
This is a guide and you must decide how heavy the stock is in tank and how much nitrate and phosphate you want to remove.
If in doubt start on half dose and work up slowly.
